One of electrochemistry's primary applications is to the
field of corrosion measurement. In the last twenty years, electrochemistry has
become a widely accepted tool for the materials scientist and corrosion engineer.

"Analytical Methods in Corrosion Science and Engineering" by P Marcus and F Mansfeld,
eds. (2005) |
|
This book covers both electrochemical and
non-electrochemical techniques for measuring corrosion. Both editors are
well known in the field.
Electrochemical techniques include EIS, Noise Analysis, scanning electrode techniques for localized
measurements, scanning Kelvin Probe, and EQCM as well as DC methods. There is also a good chapter on electrochemical
instrumentation.
