The Bookstore
These books focus on the use of electrochemistry to
solve analytical problems. "Analytical Electrochemistry"
should not be confused with "Electroanalytical
Chemistry." The focus of the former is
"What?" and "How much?" The latter often focuses
on "How?" and "Why?"

"Analytical Electrochemistry (3nd edition)" by Joseph Wang. |
|
Joe Wang is to be congratulated for his May 2006 update
of the 1994 edition of his book. Many of the more recent advances
in Analytical Electrochemistry are treated here: self-assembled monolayers (SAMs), electrochemical detection for capillary
electrophoresis, solgels, Quartz Crystal Microbalance (EQCM), and the "Lab-on-a-chip" -- a
complete analysis systems micro-machined on a single slice of
silicon. Joe Wang was the recipient of the ACS
Analytical Division Award
in Chemical Instrumentation in 1999.
